SUMMER CAMPS

Waterside Arts is now in its 19th year of operation. It is situated in the picturesque village of Eden Mills on the Eramosa River surrounded by fields and forests, just 15 minutes east of Guelph. During the camp program, the participants can enjoy swimming, ca-noeing, and exploring the river as well as having wonderful experiences in the arts

Note: Our 2011 Razzmatazz Circus Arts Camp will be held at Edgewood Camp & Conference Centre, 49 memorial Street in Eden Mills.

Each exciting week of camp focuses on a different theme while encouraging the children to develop their creative skills. Watercolour painting, clay, pastel painting, mask making, kites, and puppets are just some of the art forms they will explore. Music, dance and story telling are also enjoyed.

Ours teachers are arts specialists who love to work creatively with children. The counsellors are enthusiastic, responsible young people, skilled in swimming and canoeing and have strong interests in the arts.

Razzmatazz Circus Arts
June 27 - July 1, 2011
9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

For ages 6-14

Juggling, unicycle riding, masks and mime will all be part of the fantastic fun. Drawing, painting, and sculpture activities will all be inspired by the magical life of the circus. Paint murals of circus animals, create a clown character and sculpt lively performing animals. Make a kite that really flies and a colourful banner depicting your favourite circus theme. Help create a giant dancing puppet.

These are just a few of the possible art projects we will be involved with during our lively week of creative fun.
